Mayen Ayaka KUREHARA
Ayaka is a social entrepreneur. She graduated from Kwansei Gakuin University with a degree in Policy Studies and completed her internships in Ghana, Guatemala and UNDP in Ukraine.
After her internships in different organizations worldwide, she joined “Borderless Japan'' which solves social problems through business. She started “Business Leather Factory” aiming to create jobs for those who live in slum areas through the manufacture and sales of leather products as project manager and reached to hire 500 employees after 2 years.
After that, she moved to Guatemala and founded "Borderless Guatemala S.A." to provide education to children in rural areas of Guatemala. Once the project got on track, she returned to Japan and was responsible for recruiting / training young social entrepreneurs. Currently, she works as a consultant for social entrepreneurs to launch their businesses.
She also works as a career mentor for university students.
